WikiLeaks created lots of controversy. The “Collateral Murder” video and also the Afghan war files created a lot of animosity towards the site. Though WikiLeaks maintains it would never release any details that could put soldiers in danger, the release of somewhat sensitive documents has continued. The website most recently released a Cia document that explores non-mainstream dogma of the role of the United States and also the Central Intelligence Agency in world terrorism. The Central Intelligence Agency and the Pentagon insist the record is essentially harmless, but aren’t thrilled with its publication.
Classified Central Intelligence Agency document leaked through WikiLeaks
An internal Central Intelligence Agency document, which was top secret, was posted on WikiLeaks, as outlined by CNN. The paper, “What if Foreigners see the United States as ‘Exporter of Terrorism?’”, explores the possibility of America or Americans possibly having exported terrorism. It isn’t really known how the document was obtained. There are examples, of course. Irish Americans funding the IRA, and Jewish Americans funding Israeli terrorist groups, for instance. The main focus of the report is the potential ramifications should the United States of America be perceived as a creator and exporter of terrorism.
That is definitely the position of Red Cell
There is a group within the Cia called Red Cell. Essentially, that report is the job of Red Cell. The policy and statements of the U.S. is examined, and Red Cell plays devil’s advocate. More or less, the job of Red Cell is to look at things from a different point of view. The CIA and the Pentagon have both condemned the latest leak. Authorities have admitted the document poses no severe threat however that all files from the Defense Department or Central Intelligence Agency should be removed and returned.
WikiLeaks leader in trouble and then not really
The founder and editor of WikiLeaks is Julian Assange. He is no stranger to scandal. He was arrested in absentia for rape in Sweden. Nevertheless, even the judge that got the case didn’t purchase it. So the charges were dismissed the next time. Assange attributes the charges to governments’ colluding to smear him in the press. In Assange’s native land of Australia, he was convicted of hacking.
